Day 1 Welcome to Tanzania!

It's time to begin your safari. Welcome to Tanzania! After we greet you and provide you with the trip briefing, we'll take you out to help you discover why so many people think Tanzania is the best place in Africa to go on safari.

Arusha, is both the gateway city for most safaris in northern Tanzania and a fascinating place to explore. Enjoy good restaurants, streets filled with energy and so many snapshots of vibrant Tanzanian city life. It’s everything you look for in an urban pit stop.

Activity Day 1

Afternoon

We will pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport this afternoon and take you to the next stage of your journey.
Transfer time; about 90 minutes
We will meet you at the airport and make sure you have a warm welcome.

These include a fine restaurant, a tranquil pool, leafy grounds and a well-equipped gym. This is one of Arusha's longest-standing hotels, but with modern facilities, as well as good service.

Day 2 Sunday, June 6, 2027

Day 2 Ngorongoro Crater: Big Five Discovery

You’ll learn why magical Ngorongoro is unlike anywhere else in Africa. Cloud forests encircle the crater rim, and the view out across the caldera of this former volcano – quite apart from the altitude – will leave you gasping for air. Your drive down a steep trail carries you onto the crater floor where a unique wildlife offering is added to the sheer beauty of the experience. You’ll share the sunken ecosystem of the crater floor with hyenas, lions, elephants, black rhinos and hippos. An ecosystem that has formed in the crater in the millennia since the volcano wrought its terrible fury upon the land. It could just be one of your best safari days ever.

Activities Day 2

Early Morning

Transfer by Road, Summit Safari Lodge to Ngorongoro Crater

Your guided game drive down into and around Ngorongoro Crater, is one of the best safari experiences you can have in East Africa. Watch for lions, hyenas, black rhinos and more as you spend most of the day exploring the crater floor.

Sunset

Sundowner, Ngorongoro Crater. If time allows, we might end the day with a view over the crater and enjoy drinks while the sun sets. If wildlife viewing fills our time, we can also enjoy a drink at our lodge's bar.

Accommodation – Day 2

Ngorongoro Lion's Paw Camp

While in Ngorongoro you'll be staying with us at the splendid Ngorongoro Lion's Paw Camp. Surrounded by trees and close to the crater rim, the camp has beautiful facilities to go with the location. You can expect large and luxurious tented accommodation, a fine restaurant, a bar, and a gorgeous terrace with big Ngorongoro views.

Day 3 & 4 Monday–Tuesday, June 7–8, 2027

Day 3 & 4 Central Serengeti & Nyota Under the Stars

We'll spend the first day exploring the Central Serengeti, the heart of Tanzania's renowned national park. This is where wildlife populations are most impressive, and it's one of the best places in East Africa to see big cats. Lions, leopards, and cheetahs thrive here among the classic savannah grasslands and signature acacia trees that define the East African safari experience.

Optional highlight for the second day on the Serengeti: For a unique experience, take a dawn hot-air balloon ride over the Serengeti. You'll see the park's animals from above as the savannah comes to life below you.

Throughout the second day, we'll take you on guided game drives through this landscape. Your expert guide will help you look for elephants, big cats, and many other species that call this area home. Your base is Nyota Serengeti, where spacious safari tents, a swimming pool, and an excellent restaurant await you after your day of adventure.

Activities Day 3

We'll head towards Serengeti in the morning, keeping our eyes out for wildlife on the go.

All Day

You'll get to know Serengeti National Park in the best possible way while on a guided game drive. Led by our expert guide, you'll drive out across the park's famous savannahs to look for the incredible wildlife (big cats, elephants and more) that calls the park home.
